Post subject:  ONVIF

I am trying to record an AXIS P5635 on a 3rd party NVR made by Northern. Both are Onvif compliant but I keep getting a bandwidth error on the NVR.
I have set up an Onvif profile on the camera but there is not allot in the manual about this.
Any help would be appreciated.

Axis tech Support helped me out on this and for anyone who is interested here it is, it was simple and worked..

The issue is that our newer cameras have a higher default bandwidth than the NVR will allow for a single camera
To adjust this, log into the camera and go to
a. ONVIF
b. ONVIF Media profiles
c. Select the profile_1 h264 profile.
d. Select the Video Encoder Configuration (+)
e. Select "Edit Configuration"
f. Change the "Bitrate (kbit/s)" value to 8000
Note: A value of 8000 to 12000 should work.
g. Select "Save Configuration"
h. Select 'OK"
h. Select "Save Profile"


This is similar to what I thought however the bitrate of the ONVIF stream has to be changed.. I was not changing the correct stream.
