Hey Bostjan,

Passing credentials between different web servers is always a challenge and most browsers no longer support adding the credentials inside the http request even if within an iframe.

If your goal is sending the command from a different webserver, one possible solution may be using php curl as that way you could pass the credentials.

I hope this helps

Best Regards,
Marco

Marco,

can you also provide a proper vapix call to initiate AUTOFOCUS (same as pressing Autofocus button under settings)?

Many thanks

Bostjan

PS: How do I get the list of all option under http://<servername>/axis-cgi/opticssetup.cgi?xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx ?

Hi Bostjan,

This should work, but please be careful with this API as the camera is not designed to continuously adjust focus, only during first installation.

/axis-cgi/opticssetup.cgi?autofocus=perform

Thanks,
Marco

HI Marco,

thanks. Yes, I'm doing this utility for initial install because I don't want installer to change anything else in the camera setup (I do that prior to sending it to install).

So my utility only lists cameras in the network, allowing to adjust optical zoom and auto-focus if needed. No end user will be fiddling with these settings...
