I'm currently working on an automated network discovery and inventory setup on my company's network and I'm getting some inconsistent behavior when trying to retrieve values from the param.cgi URL.

I'm dynamically fetching the URL using http://$managementIP/axis-cgi/admin/param.cgi?action=list&group=root.Network,root.Brand,root.Properties.System,root.Properties.Firmware where the variable "$managementIP" uses the IP of the device. This works great for the most part, and I've been able to retrieve the param list and parse it to get important information to add to our inventory/asset database for 100s of devices, but there are a few others that are responding with an error:

Your client does not have permission to get URL /axis-cgi/admin/param.cgi from this server.

If I go to the server where the scan is initiated from I can get to the URL just fine in a web browser (Edge, Chrome, etc.), but not when running the scan itself from our database. I have confirmed that the same credentials are being used to authenticate for both methods.

I came across an old post on that mentions the same error message, but the solution mentions a setting "useUnsafeHeaderParsing" to deal with possible CRLF problems, but I don't see a way to set this.

Has anyone run into this (or a similar) problem and found a way to ensure that the user account used to authenticate can retrieve the parameters? Any help is greatly appreciated.
