We have a 50 camera setup using 2 servers.

This past week a 211M camera missed a vehicle crash on a parking ramp. We have many recordings both before and after the event from this camera, so the motion settings are good. Nonetheless the event was missed. There is no chance this was a slow motion event as the skid marks are evident on the first recording after the event (just a minute or two later).

The camera is set for 3 seconds pre buffer, and 8 seconds post buffer but on the day in question I have a 1 second and a 5 second recording.

The firmware is current, and there is storage space on the server.

Why would it miss a large event, and why do I have recordings less than the 11 seconds minimum that should result form the server recording settings?

Thanks,

John

Camera surveillance is a good option that is used for security. The option is used by many people to protect their property. The issue that is mentioned is a great problem Hostsailor. If anything missed during the recording that is affecting the security.
