Hi Glen,

I do this myself at home for security. I don't have a static IP address so I use DynDNS.com to redirect (it is free). One thing to remember for multiple cameras is that you will need to set them up on different Port numbers (as many home routers will only redirect to one IP address per Port number).

The basic dyndns service cannot redirect to a port number other than Port 80, but another dyndns service (Webhop - also free) redirects to whatever Port you need. So you end up with one gbwhatsapp web address per camera. Stick all those on a single homepage and you have an instant camera viewing solution.

I don't believe broadcasting or hiding an SSID will make a difference. It's more about signal-to-noise ratio...get off the busy channels and have less noise/interference. I also have great luck with Ubiquiti NanoStation Loco M5 units. 5 GHz, excellent antenna, high power, and reliable. All of my SSIDs are broadcasting for easy field-troubleshooting. I have never had an issue.
