Door strikes are not activating. With a brand new A1001 with two 12v door strikes and a 10s access time, both door strikes activate for 1s in intervals of 5s, for a 10s access time, it would get 12v two times. Is it possible to power 12v continuously for the total access time?

What are the strikes power requirements? They are hopefully rated for 12VDC but at what milliamp? You can have problems like this if you are trying to draw too much (over 500mA) at the lock relays.

A1. In concept, you will need send output pulse at the interval of 5 sec to your 12V 2 times to the 2 door strikes. As for the exact command, go to Axis life chat, their support should be able to supply you with the command for the pulse and how to create a related event to send the pulse.

A2. You also need to check with A1001 is sending the right voltage and current to your door strikes as mentioned by Brendon. You have to double check that against the datasheet of both A1001 and your door strike.
