Tried to upgrade 6 P3365-V cameras, 2 gave a "failed to upgrade" error and now will not work at all. Tried resetting to factory defaults several times, but LEDS come back the same each time, LEDS listed left to right: AMBER or RED solid….RED, BLINKING….GREEN solid. Can not see in Axis IP Utility or Axis Camera Management app. Cannot ping. What can be done?
Thanks,
Roger

Try the following solution provided once by Axis support.

The unit firmware is corrupted as the status' LED is red.

2 possible resolutions,

Resolution 1. A good hardware reset by the following step should fix the fault. It should not take more than 10 minutes.

The steps are as follows.
1. Press and hold the control button without the POE cable being plugged into the unit.
2. Attach the POE cable, without releasing the hold on the control button, to power up the unit.
3. Continue to hold (keeping the pressure on to the control button till the status indicator flash amber. (take about 1 minute. This step is critical.)
4. Release the control button. Wait until status indicator become steady green.
5. Try accessing the camera via browser.

The common mistake here make by customer and even experienced AXIS Support Engineers
- Powering up the unit first without pressing and holding on to the control button first.
- Releasing the pressure on the control button too early.

An example of you tube video on resetting a P13XX is shown on the link below.
Link on how to reset a Axis P13XX/-E Q16XX/-E, Q1755/-E or Q19XX/-E Cameras :http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qWqzLIpe0LU

The above process may just save you the task and time of packing and returning camera for RMA repair.

Resolution 2. Emergency Recovery Procedure
In this scenerio, the firmware could not boot up sufficiently enough to be accessible from network, it can only be upgrade/reflash via emergency recovery procedure

To do this, efficiently do the following steps.
1. Power off the unit by unplugging the network cable from the unit to POE switch or midspan.

2. Windows - From a command/DOS prompt, type the following:
2a. To open command/DOS prompt with administrative rights, see the link below.
http://www.howtogeek.com/194041/how-to- ... ndows-8.1/

2b. Syntax : arp -s <IP address of camera - Not use by other devices in network> <Serial number>
Example : arp -s 192.168.2.20 00-40-8C-8F-F7-51

2c. Syntax : ping -l 408 -t <IP address of camera - Not use by other devices in network>
Example : ping -l 408 -t 192.168.2.20

3. Power up the unit and wait.

4. If you have reply from the unit after about 1 minute, it means that the unit successfully reset to factory default and power up.

5. You can then upgrade/reflash the firmware of the unit via
a. FTP.

b. HTTP. Open a browser and type in the camera’s IP address. In the page that appears, use the Browse button to select the upgrade file to use, for example, axism1031.bin. Then click the Load button to restart the upgrade process.
